Many people confuse sudden cardiac arrest (SAC) with a heart attack, but it is not.
I wrote an informative piece on our blog about this, SUDDEN CARDIAC ARREST VS. HEART ATTACK: THEY ARE NOT THE SAME. Feel free to check it out.
The main thing is to be:
- proactive regarding preventive measures,
- vigilant regarding any early warning signs, and
- armed with information so that you can spring into action if G-d forbid there is an emergency.
While a heart attack and SAC are two different things, it is important to be aware that having a heart attack increases the risk of suffering from SAC. In fact, a cardiac arrest can occur right after a heart attack. As such, heart attack prevention and heart health is important for avoiding this serious cardiac event.
Please check out the information below that addresses many of the concerns with respect to sudden cardiac arrest.
